Our Story

It all Started

The Real Estate division of Phil Hahn and Associates is comprised of seasoned realtors. Phil Hahn received his Real Estate license in 1972 and his broker license 1974. He partnered with associate Sheri Chapman in 1979 to buy the Real Estate business from Ray Hopewell of Hopewell Realty. At that time the business name was changed to Hahn/Chapman Realty, this continued until 1987 when Phil bought the business from Sheri, at that time the name was changed to Phil Hahn & Associtates.

Owner, Auctioneer/Real Estate Broker and President of Hahn Auctioneers, Inc. Phil has been an auctioneer since January of 1970. He is married to Karen and they have 6 boys; Phil II, Jason & Thad Hahn and Scot, Adam and Andy Honeycutt. He has 9 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Phil is a member of the Elite Indiana Auction Association’s Hall of Fame and is active in the Association serving two terms as state director.

Laurie Sumpter

Broker

Laurie Sumpter has been in Real Estate since 1985. She, at one time, was broker owner of Sumpter Real Estate & Investments before deciding to concentrate on sales. Laurie joined the Hahn Realty Group in the early 90's and has received her GRI degree as well as become a multimillion dollar sales person.

Scot Honeycutt

Managing Broker/Broker

Scot Honeycutt has been a REALTOR since 2010. He obtained his manager broker's license in 2016 and is now the managing broke for Phil Hahn and Associates. Scot has always been community minded. Born and raised in the Wa-Nee community. He serves on the B.O.D. for the Nappanee Rotary Club, Nappanee Redevelopment Commission, Nappanee NIFTY Program, Nappanee Historic Committee and attends the Nappanee Missionary Church. Scot specializes in the Wa-Nee Community, but works in the Elkhart, Kosciusko, Marshall, and St. Joe County market as well. Scot has been one of the top producers in the Elkhart County for the past 10+ years.

Brandi Kitson

Brandi Kitson joined the realty group in 2003 and received her broker/associates license in 2005. Brandi is involved in real estate sales and is also an important part of the auction company. Brandi is a multimillion dollar sales person.
